The current head coach is Vicente del Bosque. The Spanish side is commonly referred to as La Roja ("The Red") or La Furia Roja ("The Red Fury")

Starting with title defenders, Spain – there is one player that brings another dimension in Spanish national team, Andres Iniesta and he is well-known to be one of the best midfielders ever, a key player to both Barcelona and Spain. He scored the goal which brought first World Cup trophy to Spain and now he is expected to lead La Roja for their second in a row European title.
